About Dr. Hathaway
- Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Dec. 14, 1930
- Spent time in an orphanage since my dad disappeared in 1934
- Saved on August 15, 1945, the very day Japan surrendered
- Called as a missionary at the same time I was saved
- Entered United States Air Force in 1949
- Studied two years at University of Illinois (Psychology major)
- Sent to Japan during the Army of Occupation and the Korean War
- Met Missionary to Japan Ike Foster and surrendered to return as a missionary
- Married Dixie A. Hathaway in 1954
- Graduated from Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri in 1955
- Did Missionary internship at Wichita Baptist Tabernacle under the ministry of Dr. Art Wilson
- Served as a BBFI Missionary to Japan for 25 years starting in 1956
- Served as Associate Pastor at Wichita Baptist Tabernacle under the ministry of Dr. Ray Melugin for 5 years
- Served as Pastor of Landmark Baptist Temple of Rolla, Missouri for 11 years
- Served as Pastor of Northside Baptist Temple of Mt. Vernon, Missouri for 5 years
- Presently serving as BBFI Affiliated Missionary to the Japanese
